Oklahoma City is the corporate office for all Diversity Family Health locations. Opening in March of 2018, the current clinic in Shartel Towers has multiple providers addressing the unique needs of the LGBTQ community and has nurse practitioners that specialize in the area of Women's Health in addition to the core services. This location also has a number of vetted sub-specialists when our patients need the additional assistance from providers specializing in things like cardiology, rheumatology, or neurology. This clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Russell Rooms, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
Founder and Nurse Practitioner
Russell Rooms is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years in the medical field and a Nurse Practitioner since 2004. He has a Doctoral degree from Oklahoma City University in Nursing Practice with a concentration in Community and Public Health. Dr. Rooms specializes in the identification and treatment of HPV related anal cancers in men who have sex with men.
Russell created Diversity Family Health out of the need for the LGBTQ+ community in Oklahoma City to be able to receive competent culturally centered care in an environment free of discrimination and bias. Starting in a one exam room location in the Gayborhood in Oklahoma City, Diversity Family Health has now grown to have multiple locations in the state of Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Providers
Dr. Parker Block
Provider
Parker Block, MD brings a strong background in family medicine to Diversity Family Health, with a passion for providing comprehensive and inclusive care. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 and her M.D. from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2019. She completed her family medicine residency at UCSF Fresno in 2022 and has since gained valuable experience in various primary care settings, including a rewarding period in Hawaii. She is a board-certified family medicine physician who joined the practice in September 2025.
Outside of her work, Dr. Block enjoys spending time with her loving and supportive family, which includes her partner, their two beautiful children, and their dog. Together, they enjoy traveling, outdoor adventures, gardening, making music, and playing video games.
Rachelle Bradford

Rachelle Bradford, APRN-CNP is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Diversity Family Health in the winter of 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 2007 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas in 2014. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which helped shape her patient-centered approach to care.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Rachelle gained extensive clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit at OU Health. That background provided a strong foundation in managing complex patient needs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. She is also certified in aesthetics, including the administration of dermal fillers and neurotoxins.
Rachelle is committed to compassionate, efficient, and thoughtful care, with a focus on continuous professional growth and improving patient outcomes.
Jason Clemons

Jason Clemons, MSN, APRN-CNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and his Master of Science in Nursing at Midwestern State University. As a registered nurse, Jason worked in acute care for oncology patients before spending more than 10 years working in hospice, in both direct patient care as well as management. Then, after obtaining his FNP license, he continued his work in community care by playing an integral role in the formation of a palliative care program for a local hospice company before transitioning into providing community-based primary care to homebound patients for the past 8 years, where he has gained expertise in the management and treatment of multiple and advanced chronic conditions.
Jason is passionate about providing care to all people in a safe and non-judgmental environment and is excited to join Diversity Family Health, where he can bring his knowledge and experience in primary care to a truly inclusive space.
Outside of work, Jason is a proud dad to a wonderful, beautiful daughter. He is also passionate about music and loves to put his Bachelor of Musical Arts in Piano, which he obtained prior to nursing school, to good use by accompanying various community and school choirs.
Dr. Ralph Cornelius

Ralph Cornelius, DNP, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Diversity Family Health with a strong focus on equitable, affirming primary care for LGBTQ+ patients and people living with or at risk for HIV. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where his studies centered on healthcare equity and PrEP medication adherence.
Ralph completed a DNP project titled Injectable PrEP Gives Providers Another Option to Combat Oral PrEP Compliance, which he presented at the 2024 National LGBTQ Health Conference. His clinical interests include HIV treatment and prevention, PrEP, gender-affirming care, sexual health, and chronic disease management. He is particularly passionate about reducing barriers to care through patient-centered education and shared decision-making.
In addition to his clinical work, Ralph serves as Director of Marketing and Strategy at Diversity Family Health, where he supports outreach, education, and growth initiatives that expand access to affirming care. His background in communications and public service informs a practical, patient-centered approach to health education, community engagement, and advocacy.
Amanda Heldenbrand, LCSW
Mental Health Therapist
Amanda Heldenbrand is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Diversity Family Health with over a decade of experience in the social work and mental health field. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Oklahoma and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Amanda has worked in a wide range of settings, including services for survivors of domestic violence, in-home support for children in foster care, community mental health, and private practice.
Amanda is a dedicated ally to the LGBTQ+ community and is passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive, and affirming environment for all clients. She prioritizes building strong therapeutic relationships and providing individualized, high-quality care tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her spouse, child, and their beloved boxer, Duke.
Kathy Kirk

Kathy Kirk, MSN, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Diversity Family Health. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology in 1982, Master of Nursing in 1989, Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014, and Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing in 2025. Her clinical focus includes addressing both physical and mental health disparities within the LGBTQ+ community through evidence-based, affirming care.
Kathy has experience working with intersex children and adolescents in the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology at the Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and is deeply passionate about supporting the gender-expansive community. She also brings extensive experience in women’s and sexual health, as well as in the management of chronic health conditions. In addition to her work at DFH, Kathy provides care to University of Central Oklahoma students every Friday.
Shared decision-making and patient empowerment are central to Kathy’s approach to care, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and individualized treatment planning. Outside of work, she is the proud mom of three grown children and three dogs, and enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Adrian Myers
Mental Health Therapist
Adrian Myers, LPC is a queer Licensed Professional Counselor at Diversity Family Health. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University in 2017 and has worked across a variety of mental health settings, including both outpatient and inpatient care. Prior to joining Diversity Family Health, Adrian spent five years in private practice working with members of the LGBTQ+, kink, and polyamorous communities to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
Adrian is passionate about helping clients discover and embrace their authentic selves. She uses an integrated, client-centered approach, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities and tailoring treatment to meet each person’s unique needs. Adrian believes that everyone has the capacity for healing and growth and is honored to support clients wherever they are on their life journey.
Outside of work, Adrian is a proud mom to one human and two corgis, Percy and Fearne. She enjoys spending time with her spouse and diving into hobbies such as miniature painting, tabletop RPGs, video games, and recently, skateboarding with her family.
Dr. Russell Rooms

Russell Rooms, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years in the medical field and a Nurse Practitioner since 2004. He has a Master's degree from the University of Texas as an Emergency Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Post Masters degree as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner. Most recently Russell completed a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a concentration in community and public health at Oklahoma City University where he focused on the prevention and treatment of anal cancers in men who have sex with men.
Russell specializes in conditions that effect the LGBTQ+ community with experience and training in gender affirming care, and HIV prevention and treatment. Russell also specializes in HPV related anal neoplasia and trained in high resolution anoscopy.
Additionally, Russell is a champion for human rights and an expert in sexual violence in the queer community. As a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences he works with other disciplines to ensure that sexual orientation and gender identity are included in the investigation of trauma and human rights violations.
Dr. Jewelle Young
Provider & Directo of Clinical Services
Jewelle Young, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2013 prior to completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University in 2018. She has extensive experience in women’s and sexual health, gender affirming hormone therapy, PrEP/PEP, as well as experience in preventative care and the management and treatment of chronic conditions. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice as well as a certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Oklahoma City University and looks forward to the ability to provide mental health care to all who need it.
Jewelle is a proud mom and ally who is passionate about expanding access to mental health care within the LGBTQ+ community. She values transparency and honesty and believes that an open partnership with her patients is key in optimizing overall health. She looks forward to joining the Diversity Family Health team and the ability to continue to provide quality and nonjudgmental care to all.
Laine Soto
Lead Mental Health Therapist
Laine Soto, LCSW is a queer and nonbinary mental health therapist. They attended the University of Oklahoma for both their Bachelor and Master of Science in Social Work. Before coming to Diversity Family Health, they spent over 4 years working in community mental health and have a background in domestic violence services. They have worked with a little bit of everything, but they especially enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and offer both individual and couples therapy. They value individuality, inclusion, and fair treatment for all. They are open and active in sharing knowledge and resources with an aim to foster cultural humility and informed practice in healthcare and they have also provided training opportunities for other clinicians to learn more about best practices in serving the LGBTQ+ community. When they aren’t seeing clients, Laine can often be found doing pottery and glassblowing at local art studios or spending time with their spouse and a menagerie of unusual pets.

Kiernan Cobb, RN
Registered Nurse
Kiernan Cobb, RN is a Registered Nurse at Diversity Family Health with a background in critical and emergency care, as well as reproductive health services. Prior to joining Diversity Family Health, Kiernan served as Director of Nursing at a local independent reproductive health clinic and has long been involved in reproductive health advocacy, beginning as a campus organizer while in college.
Before becoming a nurse, Kiernan worked as a patient educator at Planned Parenthood, which inspired them to pursue nursing in order to provide more direct clinical care. They have specialized training in HIV prevention, forensic nursing, and trauma-informed care, and are deeply committed to providing affirming, high-quality healthcare to the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Kiernan especially values Diversity Family Health’s patient-centered care model, where providers have the time and space to build strong rapport and fully address patients’ needs.
Outside of work, Kiernan plays roller derby and enjoys spending time with their wife and child. Their household also includes two dogs, six cats, and two guinea pigs, and they enjoy crocheting when they’re not chasing after the whole crew.
Angela Norton
Lead Medical Receptionist
Angela Norton is the Front Desk Receptionist Lead at Diversity Family Health, where she supports daily clinic operations, patient coordination, scheduling, insurance verification, and team workflow. She brings strong leadership experience from her previous role at OnCue, where she advanced from Food Service Associate to General Kitchen Manager within six months, gaining hands-on experience in training, scheduling, inventory management, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Angela’s career path began in design. She earned an Associate of Science in Drafting and Design (Architecture) from Langston University and completed Interior Design training at Tulsa Technology Center. Her design background sharpened her attention to detail, organization, and process, skills that translate seamlessly into healthcare administration and leadership. After transitioning into the medical field, Angela quickly found that front-office healthcare work combined everything she values: meaningful service, teamwork, and structured systems.
What Angela enjoys most about working at Diversity Family Health is the supportive, inclusive culture and the opportunity to care for both patients and staff in a genuine, people-centered environment. She takes pride in helping create a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through the door.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her children and staying actively involved in her church. She is also a graphic designer and loves creative projects, gaming (especially The Sims 4), and visiting arcade spots. A true homebody, Angela values home as her safe haven and embraces caring for others as both her calling and her strength.
Melissa Leeper
Medical Receptionist
Melissa Leeper is a Medical Receptionist at Diversity Family Health in the Oklahoma City clinic. She brings a strong background in both healthcare and leadership, having previously worked in healthcare for 15 years before serving as an Assistant Store Manager at Kroger. After relocating to the area in July, Melissa decided to return to healthcare, where her passion for helping others and connecting with people truly shines.
What Melissa enjoys most about working at Diversity Family Health is the people — both her coworkers and the patients she gets to interact with every day. She describes herself as a true people person who loves conversation and finding ways to help others feel welcomed and supported.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys relaxing on the patio with good music, watching football, and keeping up with both football and baseball. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, she recently moved to the Norman area and enjoys spending time with her family.
Jalisa James
Medical Receptionist
Jalisa James (She/Her) is a Mental Health Receptionist at Diversity Family Health in Oklahoma City. With over a decade of experience in customer service and client-facing roles, Jalisa brings a calm, compassionate presence to the front lines of care.
Before joining Diversity Family Health, Jalisa supported individuals and families across retail, hospitality, and corporate environments. She is known for her strong communication skills and her trauma-aware, client-centered, and trust-focused approach to supporting individuals in fast-paced, people-centered environments.
Jalisa’s path into healthcare is rooted in her passion for helping people feel seen, heard, and supported from the very first interaction. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and listening to podcasts, and activities that support personal growth and reflection.

Reyna (She/They) is our medical receptionist and referral coordinator. She worked with DHS for two years before coming to Diversity Family Health. New to the community and to OKC, Reyna moved to OKC with her fur baby Artemis. Growing up in a conservative town made them know what it feels like to be out of place, and she strives to make sure the others in our community have a safe place.
Her hobbies include Dungeons and Dragons, spending time with her dog, and painting.
